“Are you really that angry?” In May 2022, Amsterdam-based Lusho, together with Moski, posted a snippet of their track ‘Zo Boos’ on TikTok. The video went viral in no time. The track has now been streamed more than four million times and immediately caught the attention of artists including Ronnie Flex, Chivv and Josylvio. Shortly afterwards, he went viral again with *New Balance* and, more recently, with *Out Of Place*, through which Lusho is establishing himself ever more firmly on the Dutch scene. Following releases such as *New Balance*, *Tiffany* (featuring Christian D and $hirak) and *3-5-2* – which together have now been streamed more than thirty million times – he is now working towards his debut project.
At festivals such as Rolling Loud and in a sold-out Paradiso upper hall, his mosh pits have become his trademark, and it’s clear that Lusho also gets his audience moving live. He’s also making a name for himself internationally with UK collaborations alongside POZER and M24. Whilst there’s clearly a buzz of anticipation surrounding his music, he continues to surprise in other areas too: for instance, he suddenly popped up alongside Memphis Depay and they released a music video together. Or he was spotted during Paris Fashion Week. Amsterdam-based Lusho is breathing new life into the Dutch scene. Inspired by international sounds such as UK rap, Memphis rap and Jersey Club. With his debut project on the horizon, this is just the beginning.
