L.A. SAGNE. It fizzes, it screams, it holds dear, and when it starts, it makes everything move.
Are you still allowed to say in an official biography that a band is just a group of friends? No. But also you don’t need to. You can hear it in every song. Friends? Yes. but the kind you wouldn’t want showing up unannounced at your mom’s birthday party.
How they met is none of your business. Just be glad they did.
Or not, if you don’t like punk.
Anyway! 2025 was a good year for L.A. Sagne. Eurosonic/Noorderslag, Best Kept Secret, a club tour in the Netherlands and Belgium and many other Dutch festivals all got what they deserved. Three booking agencies (Friendly Fire – NL, Live Nation – BE, and Persona Grata – FR) joined in. And as you read this, the band is recording their debut album, set for release in April 2026. In December, they’ll be taking their first steps into France playing at Trans Musicales Festival in Rennes.
With the bands latest single ‘I’m a Girl’, L.A. Sagne wipes the floor with your expectations. It dropkicks them into a kiddie pool filled with glitter and existential dread. It’s the kind of track that will probably have you end up dancing, badly, with your friends in someone’s kitchen at an hour when you should’ve gone home but didn’t. And you’ll love it for that.
L.A. Sagne’s upcoming single ’I Paint Walls’ is a melodic punk anthem about the dreams you have and the job you hate. It’s tough and honest. Moody and humorous.
And you will want to shout along to the chorus.
The song will be out on November 28th on Geertruida Records.
Well, well. Go on then. Chug that drink and dive in.
