Through a blend of glistening vocal pieces, strings of dreamy melodies and distinctive rhythms, Ineffekt cleverly takes on a sound that both feels comfortable and illusive. It’s a nonchalant approach and ephemeral peaks of emotion that result in colorful euphoria.
Releases 'Kora' (Album, 2021) and ‘High Hopes’ (EP, 2023) on Intercept, as well as a string of remixes including Coloray's ‘Blinded’ and Avalon Emerson’s ‘Karaoke Song’ capture the above. Surrounding themselves with influences from a wide range of contemporary music, it’s not so much aiming for a specific, but reaching for a compromise between eras and stylistically diverse sounds. That fusion of influences also shines through on the Amsterdam-based artist’s forthcoming EP due for the summer of 2023.

Following his 2020 debut EP, Ineffekt broadened his horizon by exploring hypermodern contemporary music that resulted in a run of original productions and remixes, including his most recent effort ‘High Hopes’, that have influences from all over the place, most notably breakbeat, techno and altpop, as well as hints from a new wave of colorful electronica that has been developing in recent years.
Consequently the 22-year-old supported Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo and Mall Grab on their tour nights, as well as performing at DGTL, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, Dekmantel Selectors and prominent dance floors De School, Nitsa and WAS.
