Since stepping out front and centre with his personal independent project, Afghan-Dutch artist, writer and producer Ferdous has been finding fans in the likes of Billboard, i-D, Spotify US and The Line Of Best Fit.
His story begins in the Netherlands, where he was born a few weeks after his Afghan parents had applied for asylum. Ferdous developed creatively during this period while growing up in a country where he felt musically isolated, he allowed himself to experiment and discover the freedom music could offer.
First finding success in pop duo Klyne, Ferdous' integral part in writing and producing their self-titled debut album earned them support slots with the likes of Metronomy and Christine and the Queens and alongside his electronica alter ego Turbo Recordings-signee TRACE7000, Ferdous' musical journey continues to take a variety of impressive turns. Now, he returns with his forthcoming EP 'Doors', crafting a soundscape built upon woozy mellow and uplifting R&B sonics. This independent project as Ferdous is the result of wanting to pursue an outlet to express the roots of his musical identity. Working with critically acclaimed photographer Nick van Tiem, the visual concept sees the images linking Ferdous to photos of items from his past.
