Americana star Danny Vera got the songwriting itch at a young age, penning songs about big themes like love, life and death as a teenager. A tattooed yet gentle artist, he has been able to cement himself in the hearts of audiences in recent years with his catchy songs and tantalising performances. ‘Roller Coaster’ was a huge hit in the Netherlands in 2019 (number 1 in the Top 2000 in 2020) and the song touched a nerve with us too. Anyone who thinks Danny is resting on his laurels now, however, is wrong. Music is in his blood, with American country, blues and rock and roll as oxygen. On his latest album ‘DNA’, he returns to his cradle, with songs rooted in the American roots music of yesteryear.
